Yarrie Lake’s Future
Yarrie Lake is one of our district’s treasures – and its future is in your hands.
A new Plan of Management is being prepared for Yarrie Lake and we’re inviting locals, visitors, and lake lovers to share their thoughts.
Whether you come here to camp, ski, fish, watch the birds, or just breathe in the peace, this is your chance to help shape what happens next.
A place to slow down
Between Narrabri and Wee Waa on the edge of the North West slopes of New South Wales lies a lake that seems to shimmer straight out of the sky.
Formed many thousands of years ago, Yarrie Lake is a natural playground – a spot to switch off, cool off, and relax.
Come for the day or stay for the weekend – there’s plenty of room to breathe.
Protect. Play. Preserve.
A new Plan of Management is being developed to guide how Yarrie Lake is cared for – protecting its ecology and cultural values while keeping it open for everyone to enjoy.
Your feedback will help set the direction for facilities, water management, and how this special place is used into the future.
